Not Over Yet!
Still much to do in the Mt Washington Valley!
The Summer may be ending but there are still a lot of reasons to visit the Mt Washington Valley in September and October. Spectacular fall foliage, fun events, festivals and a head start on holiday shopping just to name a few.
Leaf Peeping
"Leaf Peeping", the act of enjoying fall foliage, can take many forms and there are many different ways to "peep". The Mt Washington Valley offers many ways to "peep"
You can "peep" from a train. Book a seat on the Cog Railway and ride to the very top of Mt Washington or enjoy a scenic tour of Conway, Bartlett and Crawford Notch on the Conway Scenic Railroad.
You can "peep" from a car. Plan a scenic drive through Crawford Notch to Bretton Woods or Pinkham Notch. Take a break from the car and take a hike. There are many short day hikes that can offer a spectacular view.
You can "peep" from the top. Don't feel like hiking, then plan a gondola or ski lift ride to the top of one of the may ski resorts. Attitash Mountain and Wildcat Mountain are some of the best. Check out the Ziprider zipline when you are at Wildcat!
