At 23 Hill'N Vale Vacation Rental we are committed to providing privacy and security for your personal data. This statement explains our general company privacy and customer information collection practices as well as the practices employed at our web site, http://www.hillnvale.com, and the way we secure that information. Customer Information Collection and Use

The principle activity of 23 Hill'N Vale Vacation Rental is to provide a short term vacation home to our customers. In order to provide this service we request certain personally identifiable information from you. To effectively communicate with you and to create a legally binding lease agreement between us, we request your name, signature, address, telephone number, e-mail address, and number of people in your party. If this information is not provided to us in a proper signed lease agreement, we will not rent our property to you.

In addition, we request the driver's license number of all tenants named on the lease agreement. This information may be used for identification purposes at the rental property by us, our agent, Valleywide Property Management, or the proper civil authorities. In lieu of a diver's license number we may accept some other form of identification, such as a passport number or military ID, at our discretion. If you cannot furnish us, our agent, or the proper civil authorities with this identification when requested, you and those in your party may be denied access or requested to vacate the vacation rental property and its premises.

In addition to the lease agreement and the information listed above, we maintain records of our customer correspondence and your contacts with us regarding your reservation and lease. We will destroy these records in a timeframe that is allowed by acceptable legal procedure. The information is destroyed following accepted industry standards.

We indefinitely maintain a database of e-mail addresses and/or physical addresses that customers and web site visitors voluntarily provide us. We use this information for marketing purposes. For instance, we may send you information on seasonal specials and services of 23 Hill'N Vale Vacation Rental and information about the local area that may be of use to you for planning a vacation. If you do not wish to receive these promotional communications, you can have your name removed from this database by following the instructions given in the correspondence or by contacting using the directions given at the end of this statement.

We do not collect or maintain credit card information. We use PayPal as a third party credit card processing service. Should you decide to pay us through a credit card transaction, all information required for that transaction will be maintained by PayPal and will be covered under the terms of PayPal's privacy policy standards. We collect personal information through several different methods. It is your choice to use which method balances the convenience and security that best fits your situation. You may send us information by entering it into a form on our web site that is encrypted with secure socket layer (SSL) technology. You may send us your information by other electronic methods such as e-mail or fax correspondence. You may give us the information verbally over the telephone or in direct conversation. You may send us the information in a paper correspondence such as a letter sent via the USPS.

Information Disclosure

For the purposes of facilitating and enforcing our lease agreement and for verifying guest identity, your information may be shared with our agent, Valleywide Property Management. In addition, if your stay is longer than 7 days, we are required by the rules of the Hill'N Vale Condominium Association to furnish the board of directors of the Association with your name and permanent address. We also reserve the right to disclose your information to the proper authorities if requested in compliance with provisions of Chapter 353 of the NH Statutes or any other applicable local, state, or federal laws. Furthermore, we reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information when we believe the disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on ourselves, our company, or our web site. We do not provide any information we collect to any other third parties except those specific situations explained in this paragraph.

Web Site Visitor: Information Collection and Use

Modern information and communication technologies play a fundamental role in the activities of our company operations. In this part of the statement we attempt to explain in plain, understandable language what type of data is collected when you visit our web site, when you request a reservation on-line, and how we use that information.

Log Files

As is true of most web sites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data. In most cases, we do not link this automatically-collected data to personally identifiable information. We aggregate this information to analyze trends, to administer the site, to track users' movements around the site, and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole in order to improve the content and layout of our web site and improve the customer on-line experience.

We do link automatically-collected IP addresses to personally identifiable information volunteered by you when a reservation is requested by web form. This information is used to corroborate the legitimacy of the reservation request and to prevent against illegitimate or fraudulent use of the web site.

A cookie is a small text file that is stored on a user's computer for record-keeping purposes. We use session ID cookies on this site. A session ID cookie expires when you close your browser. When you enter information into the on-line reservation request form on our site, a session cookie is created so that information you enter in the form will persist as you navigate from page to page. If you reject cookies, you will still be able to browse our site, but your ability to use some areas of our site, such as the on-line reservation request form, will be limited.
